Vous Etes Seuls, Mais Je Desire Etre Avec Vous

A few weeks ago i bought Nina's album - Fodder on my Wings, the first release from 1982 on vinyl. Its my 36th album of her.
And by listening today to the song - "Vous Etes Seuls, Mais Je Desire Etre Avec Vous" i heard that its completly different then the other one that we know from YouTube or Remastered version on newst vinyls and CD's.

In beginning there is a sound of a organ and at the middle of the song you can hear that Nina talks with somebody at the background, saying - "Mais non" and "Vous Etes Seuls"
So the question is - is that can be possible that Nina Recorded two diffrent versions of this song ?

OMG. I don’t know the answer but there is a person on Substack that I follow who might. I can post the link here - it’s Paul Robinson who was Nina’s drummer for many years in the 80s and 90s. He is writing a book and on Substack. #1 I have always wondered who was playing the instruments. #2 I have a vinyl copy of Fodder that I bought online that apparently was another pressing not the one that was released, and I will definitely be listening as soon as I’m able today! It didn’t come with an actual cover just a plain white sleeve. Love the pics you posted. I hope somebody out there knows!

I don’t know why there are two versions of “Vous ettes seuls”. I’ve got them both and prefere the one on the original 1982 album. Should have been a hit for Nina!

The first times Nina sang ‘Vous êtes seuls…’ it’s in June 1981 at the New Morning in Paris (At that time she was 'very lonely' and on her autographs she noted it .. 'I need you'... ). Second at the 1981 Montreux Festival at *4 am* (where she sang six songs) this performance was recorded, and the broadcast was shown on American radio on January 26, 1982 (featuring Nina and other singers/musicians but I have not the list Nina’s songs). Claude Nobs recorded all of his festival performances. So, yes ! Another version exist but certainly as a medley cause that night to Montreux she mainly talked with the public.
P.S. It was the owner of the New Morning who recommended Nina to Yves Chamberland, the owner of Studio Davout, for the album recording.
Question : Is the list of songs you have on this album with this 'version' the same as the 1982 album?. Thank you.

- Yes they are, but i guess on next version from 1988 album as CD and Vinyl, the song as ‘Vous êtes seuls…’ got changed. like remixed and was added more instrumentals. Or it was changed in in more newest Remastered version from Verve in 2020.

There is also a few song are a bit longer then we can hear it in the Remastered Album from Verve.
And the first version of song "Vous êtes seuls" is actually shorter, only 4,10 mins, and this ver. avaible only on the first 2 vinyls of 1982 and 1988. And one Cassette from 1982

Update! Sorry, I listed the album as 1982 (not 1988) because I've categorized all my Nina songs by recording date, not by vinyl or CD release date. I think it makes more sense. There are so many recordings of songs from the same session that are on different albums.

This cassette 1982 edition is 'Claude Carrère Production' 4.10
1988 by 'CY Records' there is two editions one 4.10 and one remixed 4.27.
